If I want to get experience designing characters from anything other than my own mind, I need to get out there and start collaborating. I'm far more confident in writing than I am in drawing, so how about I open requests for developing characters in the sense of background, personality, and the like? And when I'm done folks could vote on how they want the characters to interact (which situations, etc). I'm not sure how open-ended this would be, if I make it a thing. As opposed to writing, part of what makes the visual part of character design so popular for commissions, requests, etc. is that it gives control over the lore behind the charact

Well, I took art class again (with the amazing Katie H.), and I've gotten over all the embarrassing posts I made in years past. So I'm back. At least, for now. Seeing everyone's progress after all this time is awesome, and I've shrugged off enough ego and insecurity to stop comparing my work to all the amazing stuff you guys make. I go by my own standard now. That's liberating. That's all I have to say for now. More later. :/
